| Community Fundraising Program - Supporter SignUp
We’ve all read the headlines about funding cuts to schools, teams and non-profits and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture. The red ink is flowing and the funding cuts are DEEP. The cuts will start at the top but ultimately be felt in every area; whether its community outreach programs, after school events, staffing levels, lunch programs, infrastructure upgrades, libraries, sports teams, field trips, environmental initiatives you name it, they’re all affected in some way.
There simply is no avoiding it…
Funding cuts will put an increased burden on the shoulders of Corporate Donors, Parents, PAC’s, Families and Community Supporters to make up the difference! But... Let’s face it, most of us are already taxed-to-the-max and this "economic downturn" means everyone has a little less to give. Ultimately there’s a limit on how much support we can offer and many of us have reached that point.
That’s were Easywash is prepared to offer assistance.
Traditionally carwashing has been a great way for schools, teams and non-profits to raise money. But the times have changed, with the significant environmental concerns surounding "Charity Carwashes" what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander. (Click Here to read more about Charity Carwashes)
So it got everyone at Easywash thinking, how can we use our facility to benefit of the community and the evironment at the same time.
Then it hit us... We need to figure out a way that you can make a donation each and every time you wash your car so that's exactly how we've designed our new Community Fundrasing Program.
The Donation proccess is EASY:
1) Signup to become a Supporter of one of our Community Partners.
2) Wash your car using the Fundraising Codes we provide you.
3) Easywash will Donate 20% of the pre tax value of the wash to your Community Partner on a monthly basis.
Here's a list of our current Community Partners:

Seymour Salmonoid Society The Seymour Salmonid Society runs the Seymour River Fish Hatchery and Education Centre. The Society was formed in 1987 when the British Columbia Institute of Technology turned over the responsibility of running the hatchery to our newly-created society. The society has a working relationship with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Metro Vancouver, and many schools, colleges, businesses and other conservation groups.
The society also relies on the continuing support of our many volunteers, sponsors, and members. The hatchery is situated in the beautiful Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve in North Vancouver B.C. It plays a vital role in sustaining fish stocks and creating fish habitat which have both been declining since the construction of the Seymour Falls Dam. |

The Pacific Stream Keepers Federation PSKF is a non-profit society helping stream keepers take action through support, education and building partnerships. The Streamkeepers Program was developed in response to the concerns of the many volunteers working on stream enhancement projects. In spite of volunteer efforts and government regulations, development pressures from our expanding population continue to threaten our aquatic habitats. Everyone, from residents to land developers, foresters, and farmers, needs to become aware of how important good watershed practices are to the long term protection of our environment.
Streamkeeper activities most often take place at specific times during the year. Some events are dictated by the arrival, presence or departure of spawning or rearing salmon. Some activities do not take place in the stream itself, and can occur at any time of the year. |

The Harvest Project
The Harvest Project is the only not-for-profit on the North Shore working to, "Extend a hand up, not a hand out." The Harvest reaches out to individuals and families to help them cope with difficult life circumstances; family break-ups, illness, job loss, addiction and mental health issues.
We help clients to overcome challenges and move towards being self-sufficient, once again. The Harvest Project nurtures the potential of every client while helping them to achieve a positive destiny. Harvest was founded upon the core elements missing from most assistance agencies: respect, dignity and accountability.
Through client care programs, counselling, resource services, clothing and groceries Harvest can provide the safety net between temporary setbacks and crises. |

The Union Gospel Mission
Union Gospel Mission is committed to serving our community with a broad continuum of effective programs and quality services for anyone in need. Over the organization’s near-70-year history, this has meant that UGM has grown significantly to meet Metro Vancouver and the city of Mission's growing need.
Over the past few years, the demand for UGM’s highly successful alcohol and drug recovery programs has risen, as has the number of men and women attending daily meal services. As well, UGM has seen the need for a more comprehensive range of specialized programs to serve the women and children of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
On July 29, 2009, UGM publicly announced the single largest expansion in its history: the construction of a much-needed new building. Located at 601 East Hastings, (behind the location of the current main mission) the development will greatly increase UGM’s capacity to effectively address the rising need on the Downtown Eastside and better serve the men, women and children in our community who turn to UGM for hope and help each day. | |

Sutherland Highschool Sabre Athletics
Research shows that athletics are an important part of the high school experience. Participation builds confidence and a commitment to one's Education. School teams contribute to a greater sense of community and pride for the whole school. Done right and as you know, the provincial government severely cut funding to the school system this year without warning. No area has been harder hit than athletics.
